We live in the land of Gifu.
We are able to feel this “land” and “view”, as one feels the history, present time, and the future.
With our faces toward the rays of creation,
we handcraft a true perspective, and honor this native place.
The Land土地のこと
日本列島の真ん中に位置する岐阜県。
実り豊かな山々と清流を抱いた自然を背に、
山岳信仰に代表されるような独特な文化を形成してきた。
そして透き通った豊富な水を運ぶ河川は、
物流や土地に根ざしたものづくりを発展させてきた。
Gifu prefecture is situated in the middle of Japan.
The distinctive culture has been built
by the crystalline streams and deep green mountain ranges.
The Eternal waters have buoyed the craftsmanship
and ideals of its stewards.
The Materials and Technique素材と技術
美濃の紙漉や関の刃物、郡上の染色、東濃の陶磁器など、
岐阜が世界に誇る技術や文化は枚挙にいとまがない。
古来よりその土地に恵まれた素材と、
それを活かす文化や伝統が今も尚脈々と生き、
新たな知恵やアイデアが緩やかに紡がれていく。
Our land has provided for us with its abundance;
from traditional rice paper in Mino city, Indigo in Gujo city,
to ceramics in To-no, and beyond,
the craftsmanship and heritage is truly world-class.
We shepards of this great terrain will continue to construct a livelihood
from the rich and organic matter surrounding us.

HIRAME
ハニカム状に貼り合わせた和紙をスタンドライト状に型抜きすることで
平面から立体的に飛び出す照明になる。
ランプ、フラワーベース、アクセサリーケースの3種を制作。
Lamp made by cutting out. from the washi pasted to a honeycomb form.
This then changes its from a plane to stereoscopic light stand shape.
